I love my farm

I love my farm!

Maybe I'm just another dreaming, pretend, hobby farmer but I absolutely love aiming for sustainable living.  A great man once told me that he wakes up every morning and thinks about redemptive agriculture.  I love reflecting on that thought.  Truly caring for God's beautiful and amazing creation.  Tending the land like God intended.  I am absolutely far from perfect, but keeping my dreams in front of me all the time help to give me strength and energy to farm on.

MMM... Last fall.  This was my garden.  The vegetables grew wonderful and strong all summer and filled our bodies (and freezer) with greatness.  After the vegetables were finished, I let my Dexter's out to the garden to finished off the scaps.

Not the best picture, but after Bess and Tinkerbell cleaned up the garden, I let Dot and Dutch (the pigs) into the garden.  They rooted around and had a lot of fun!  It was really hard to take their picture though, because they kept following me around the garden.

My chickens are another huge passion of mine on the farm.  I have about 60ish laying chickens.  I start them in the back of my garage and then they go outside when they are about 15 weeks.  They are able to freerange and very soon will be consuming organic grain too!

Okay, So not the most lively post, but I thought I should start capturing some of what I do on my little farm, so that you the customer can know that you are getting better than the "organic" in the grocery store.  You are getting a product from someone that sincerely cares about my animals and what is going on inside of them so that you can be as strong and as healthy as God intended you to be (that might be a little too strong a word, but you get the idea).
